If someone sent you a link

Someone has chosen a few pieces of their work and shared them with you through Tailored. This page explains what you are looking at and what happens when you open it.

Opening the link

You do not need an account. Open the link and read.

If the sender put a passcode on the link, you will be asked for it first. The sender gives you the passcode separately; it is not part of the link. If you do not have it, ask the person who sent you the link. After too many wrong attempts the page pauses for fifteen minutes.

What you are reading

A short message from the sender comes first, then the stories they chose, in the order they chose. Above a story you may see a line about why they included it for you. Some stories include files you can open or download.

At the end there may be a way to reach them: an email link or a LinkedIn profile.

This is the version the sender chose to show you. They keep a fuller, private record that nobody else sees.

What the sender can see

Opening a link may share basic activity with the person who sent it: that the link was opened, when, which stories were read, and whether a file was opened. Nothing identifies you personally: a link can tell the sender it was opened, not who opened it. There is no account, no name, and nothing to sign in to.

"This page isn't available"

A link can be turned off by the sender, can expire, or can reach a limit on how many times it may be opened. In every one of those cases you see the same page. Check the link against what was sent to you; if it matches, ask the sender for a fresh one.

The line at the bottom

Some pages carry a small "Powered by Tailored" line. It means the sender is using Tailored to share their work. It links to tailoredfolio.com if you want to know more.
